Darya Afshari Gault
Owner/ Master Hairstylist/ Colorist/ Bridal Hair Specialist

At the age of eleven Darya Afshari entered the world of beauty through summers spent at her uncle’s salons in eastern Massachusetts. Always admiring her aunts and uncle’s creative eye and professionalism with clients, by her early teens she was convinced that the beauty industry was the best career for her. Growing up in Florida as the daughter of an engineer and entrepreneur, she has always pushed academically. However, her passions were always in the 3-dimensional arts; pottery and sculpting.

While studying fine arts in college with no definite direction for her future career, her father Reza reminded her of a career in cosmetology like her uncles. Upon graduation, Darya felt fulfilled. Moving to New England, after working and apprenticing under her uncle for three years she felt confident to take the next step. In 2002 Darya moved to Nantucket and worked very hard to advance her techniques in cutting and color when along the way she was reacquainted to the hair form of sculpting; up-styling. As the wedding industry grew in Nantucket so did Darya and her colleagues’ popularity. With numerous write-ups and recognition in many local, Boston and Cape magazines, it was without a doubt, “our thing”. However not our only thing! This was our opportunity to express to our clients the importance of great skin products and skin regiment.

As the business grows so does her eagerness to explore and perfect other avenues of the industry, by bringing in brilliant colorists, estheticians, massage therapists, nail techs, makeup artists, and medical spa therapists. “Our intent is to influence our clients, to let us educate them in the world we love the most the progressively changing world of beauty and health.”

Introducing Julia, a 30-year-old who finds joy in life’s simple pleasures. She’s a devoted parent to her three-year-old, relishing every opportunity to soak up the summer sun at the beach together. Julia’s mornings are spent pounding the pavement with her loyal companion, Koda, as they embark on refreshing runs along Nantucket’s scenic trails. Originally drawn to Nantucket for just one summer, Julia quickly fell in love with the island’s charm and never looked back. Six years later, she still calls it home, enchanted by its beauty and sense of community. In Julia’s world, happiness is found in the laughter of her child, the companionship of her furry friend, being surrounded by family and friends, and the tranquility of coastal living. With each passing day, she embraces the simple joys that make life on Nantucket so special.

Nail Tech

Molly Ranney is a 21 year old old Nantucket Native. She is a licensed cosmetologist and nail tech. Her passion is nail art and enhancing natural nails. Molly started doing nails as a hobby in high school on her friends and family and quickly realized it was what she wanted to do with her life. Molly loves bringing my clients confidence back with a new set! She prides herself on attention to detail and making sure the client walks out with what they ask for! Molly is thrilled to be fulfilling her dream at Darya Salon.

 

Dahiana
Nail Tech

Dahiana is a licensed cosmetologist relocating from the Dominican Republic siz years ago. Her journey in the world of cosmetology began at the age of 17, surrounded by professionals in the field, her passion for nails and beauty blossomed. She quickly mastered various skills including waxing and pedicures. Dahiana continues her education, staying up to date on all of the latest industry trends including the renowned “Russian manicure” and advanced full body waxing techniques. She is committed to excellence, and dedicated to furthering her knowledge to provide exceptional service to both her clientele and the patrons of Darya’s Salon and Spa.

 

Tiffany
Hair Stylist

Tiffany is a licensed Cosmetologist & Certified Makeup Artist. She has been doing hair for 3 years and makeup for 5 years. Tiffany enjoys doing anything that involves hair, but her passion is highlights, foliage, and color. Her work is focused on producing healthy, gorgeous hair and she is happy to apply the experience and skills she has obtained in her career to make everyone from any gender feel beautiful and confident in their own unique way. She has a strong eye for detail, creativity, and does her best to give her clients what they desire.

Meet ACK Native, a dedicated mama of two and a seasoned hairstylist with over half of her life devoted to perfecting her craft. Jaime’s journey began under the mentorship of Darya, whose unwavering belief in her talents propelled her forward, even during moments of self-doubt. After leaving to pursue work and family life on Cape Cod, Jaime returned to Darya’s salon in November, knowing deep down it was where she always belonged. Specializing in blonding services, Jaime thrives on challenging hair textures and is passionate about delivering exceptional results to every single one of her clients.
